Bank Loans rise to 12.9% in 2020

Bank Loans, specifically the consumer credits, increased 12.9%, (638 million euros) in the last months. According to the Portuguese Central Bank, the credits were mainly used to buy cars and for personal reasons.

Portuguese university joins the European climate change project

The Trás-os-Montes University (UTAD) is now a part of the “Triple C” project, that will share better practices and risk management for climate changes. The project includes a 1.6 million euros budget and wants to promote European cooperation between Spain, France, England and Ireland, with multiple international institutions also joining the program.

Modernization of Porto’s Subway System with a 107 Million Euros investment

The European Commission is investing 107 million euros through the cohesion fund to modernize the subway network. This investment will translate into 14 different projects for infrastructure development, aiming to transform the network into a more fast and manageable system.
