Electric Buses will be added to the Lisbon public transportation network

As of this moment, Lisbon already has 11 buses working fully on electric energy, with the new addition of 4 more buses. During this year, Fernando Medina, Mayor of Lisbon, wants to increase the number up to 30 buses, with a budget rounding the 7.5 million euros mark.

Plan to fight poverty in Porto will have an annual budget of 300 thousand euros

Porto and Lisbon city halls, in collaboration with the Portuguese Investment Bank (BPI), will finance the project. It is expected to reach 50 families in extreme poverty situations that currently live in the areas of Campanhã, Lordelo de Ouro and Ramalde.

Number of international students in Portuguese universities rises to 38% in 2020

As the year progresses, new international students arrive to Portugal. Since January, 5.477 international students chose Portugal to study, with 2.838 of those students coming from Brazil, 926 form Cape Verde, 521 from Angola and 111 from São Tomé and Príncipe.​
