Golden Visas are covered in the automatic renewal of residence permit

The possibility of automatically renewing residence permits is now available and, for the first time, also covers Golden Visas.

As reported in recent days by several media, including the Público newspaper, the measure aims to overcome The Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service  (SEF) congestion that, until then, implied the existence of vacancies available to schedule the date for automatic renewal.

As of today, January 19, this tool is already operational, and it has already been possible to complete several automatic renewals, including Golden Visas.

Citizens who can take advantage of this measure are those whose biometric data have already been collected and whose documentation has already been submitted and accepted by SEF.
